Introduction:
If a detector detects smoke or heat, or someone
operates a break glass unit, then alarm sounders operate to warn others in the
building that there may be a fire and to evacuate.

I built your circuit and it works like a charm! But I was wondering how you got the values of 1000 ohm and 47 ohm? Why was the 47 ohm resistor at all? It would be great if you could show the calculation.
